Welcome to our first newsletter. The intention is to let you know what happens in the National Training Federation Wales (NTfW). A pilot program of innovative, exciting place in the Cardiff area. Work Based Learning Providers, the local 14-19, Institute of Higher Education and the Awarding Body will work together to develop the Leadership and Management Programme, publix store locator based on the basic principles of Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW), to ensure cohort "more gifted publix store locator and talented "learners in Years 10 and 11 and post-16 learners.
After NTfW Transition Team realized that the school network has mis-understood, or even without understanding any, principles Vocational Qualifications, it was agreed that CQFW NTfW Transformation Project and work together to find a solution, to help the network schools to understand the fundamental principles of Vocational Qualifications, particularly their flexibility and value.
So, we decided to conduct a pilot program in the Cardiff area, with the aim of showing the benefits of schools offering Vocational Qualifications. Discussed the scope of the project and agreed with Cardiff 14-19 Network, publix store locator although everyone in the school benefit from Vocational Qualifications, the need to introduce these Qualifications "for more able and talented pupils, in order to reach a wider audience." It was seen then needed to develop Leadership publix store locator and Management Programme, aimed particularly to these pupils, which would add to their personal abilities and give an "add" them on top of their academic work.
NTfW organized discussions between WBL providers, Cardiff Business publix store locator School (including LMW) and the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), with the aim of developing a program of study that would develop the learners understanding of the key principles of leadership and control, and to relate what they learn to the world of work "real", through work experience and work placements.
The pilot is well underway and 56 learners from across Cardiff area have been selected to participate in the program. Learners were divided into four groups, based on partnerships of local schools, and each group will work with one of WBL providers involved in the program. Since this is a pilot program, developed four delivery model, based on the needs of the learners. Each model includes a component element in the classroom and practical, and will lead to qualifications and / or units "credit-based" recognized the ILM.
According to early indications, the program has been well received by learners, publix store locator their parents and schools. One sign of that is that the attendance rate is almost 100%.
