In the line of artists who use unusual means to his works we can include sculpture Freya Jobbins. Freya uses dolls, Barbies and other toys to create his sculptures. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, of German parents, but living in Australia since the age of nine, Freya Jobbins creates original and detailed sculptures using unconventional materials: up talks and toys. Using parts of dismembered dolls and toys assemblies creates aafes jobs amazing faces, heads and torsos. Each plastic piece is carefully carved, glued layer upon layer, creating a sense of depth in every single assembly. Freya takes its inspiration from Giuseppe Arcimboldo and his paintings of fruits and vegetables and the Toy Story trilogy, aafes jobs plus a strong interest in Greek mythology, giving as provocative, humorous and disturbing sculptures result. Freya Jobbins received Shellhabour Hoarding Wall Stockland Exhibition Artist Award 2012, and was a resident aafes jobs artist at the Sydney Boys Grammar in 2013, in addition to several international exhibitions.
